Vanished Without a Trace: The Mysterious Disappearances of Wendy Smith, Pierre Mercon, Cheryl Rowe
Three individuals have disappeared from Richmond Hill, Ontario over the last few decades. These are their stories.
Wendy Smith
It was supposed to be a new beginning. On April 13, 1995, Wendy Renee Smith was heading to her first shift at a new job. She never arrived. Police believe she was murdered, but for nearly 30 years, her case has remained a cold, silent mystery.
Pierre Mercon
Pierre Mercon, 21, was last seen around 2 a.m., phoning his mother from a pay phone outside the now-defunct Original Six Sports Bar. He asked her to pick him up at a nearby corner, but when she arrived, he was gone. The only trace left behind was his camouflage poncho, found under a table inside the bar.
Cheryl Rowe
Cheryl, 45, was last seen on the night of December 22, 2011. She was supposed to meet her daughter to exchange clothing but never showed up. The last known location she visited was an address on Rathfon Crescent in Richmond Hill, the home of her ex-boyfriend, who we'll refer to as PC. From that moment on, a mother, daughter, and friend simply disappeared.
