On October 6, 2015, Erin McGonigal was preparing to leave her husband and move forward with her life. But before she could take that next step—she disappeared.

At first, no one thought much of it. But 49 days later, when Erin still hadn’t surfaced, three of her friends walked into a Peel Regional Police station and filed a missing person’s report. Not her husband. Not her family. Her friends.
