A 22-year-old mother, newly separated and struggling to rebuild her life, Patricia should have been safe in her own home. But on a quiet spring night, a killer crept into her second-story apartment, stabbing her over a dozen times as her two young boys lay sleeping just feet away. No forced entry. No screams. No answers. By morning, Patricia was dead, and her children—too small to understand—were left crying beside their mother’s lifeless body.

Her murder bore unsettling similarities to another—Helga Beer, a woman found strangled in her Volkswagen just months earlier. And before that, Victoria Mayo, another young mother stabbed to death in her own bedroom. No robbery. No sexual assault. Just silent, calculated brutality.

Coincidence? Or the work of a predator who moved unseen, slipping in and out of unlocked windows, taking life without leaving a trace?

With police struggling to connect the dots, one man—a drifter named Sandor Fulep—confessed to one of these murders. DNA evidence would later prove him right. But had he stopped at just one? Or had he been killing for years, targeting single mothers while authorities looked the other way?
