Charge laid in Markham woman’s disappearance

A 26-year-old East Gwillimbury man has been charged by York Regional Police with kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault in connection with the case of a missing Markham woman, Ying Zhang.

Cops said they believe the suspect vehicle travelled to Kirkfield, in the Kawartha Lakes area, on Thursday afternoon.
