Thera Dieleman On September 15, 1988, 80-year-old Thera Dieleman got a ride into town to enjoy a day of shopping in Goderich, Ontario. Afterwards, she was dropped off at home and settled in for a relaxing evening. Thera had been widowed two years prior, so in 1988 she lived alone in her home located in Innerkip, Ontario. She did her best to keep up with the house on her own. But she was often checked on by family, friends, and neighbours who were eager to give her a hand any chance they could. On the afternoon of September 16, Thera’s neighbour Ken Rusnell called to see how she was doing. Following repeated attempts, he became worried and headed over to her house at 2:40PM to make sure everything was okay. After getting no a...

Patricia Lupton PATRICIA LUPTON – MARCH 9, 1959 Patricia, 12, answered a babysitting ad posted on the bulletin board of a Scarborough A&P store. And within an hour of leaving home to meet her prospective employer, she was dead. Her body was discovered at a construction site for one of the numerous housing developments springing up around the booming city — near McCowan and Ellesmere Rds. Patricia had been dead just a few minutes. She had been strangled but apparently not sexually assaulted, although both her knees were black and blue. Detectives believed the killer drove a 1951 Pontiac sedan. Please consider subscribing to Ontario Cold Cases – The Podcast on Patreon, Spotify, YouTube or Apple Podcasts. Patreon - https:...

Hello, I’m Jay Nicoll from Nicoll Investigations and I’m here to tell you about some of the upcoming episodes of Ontario Cold Cases - The Podcast. Marie Woods, a 31-year-old single mother of a six-year-old daughter, vanished on September 21st, 1981. Her Subaru station wagon was found abandoned on Oct. 5th at the Scarborough Town Centre. Police found no clues to her disappearance in her home or car. Although there was no specific evidence immediately to suggest she had been abducted, Woods had a normal life, a well-paying job, and the responsibility of her daughter, suggesting she wouldn’t have left of her own volition. Then, five years later, in November, 1986, remains later identified as Woods were found in Newmarket, about 50 km north of where her car was abandoned. Please conside...

She must have been held captive for several days, because an autopsy and other evidence determined she had been dead not much longer than 48 hours before she was found. Please consider subscri...
